212 Amarone della Valpolicella “Classico” FABIANO (1999)
Rich black cherry, deep ripe raspberry. Mature/overripe berries and boysenberry, cassis, prune. Its palate: smooth texture. Ripe, flavorful berry fruit: blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, sour cherry. Ample acidity, medium tannins. Hint of earth. This is a very pleasing, soft-style Amarone. Compared to other red wines, it is big and bold, but for Amarone, it’s soft and drinkable now. Nice finish of fruit, acid and tannins in ample quantity and a hint of spice.
